A new era begins: It’s a time of transition, with the election of a new prime minister, a new name for the Tibetan government in exile, and a new role for the Dalai Lama, who remains Tibet’s spiritual leader but is no longer the political head of the Tibetan government. Tibet political expert Robbie Barnett talks about the Dalai Lama’s decision and how the current system of governance will operate without him.

Meat pastry rap song threatens China’s security: When a young Swiss-Tibetan named Karma Emchi produced a funny rap video about a Tibetan meat pie and posted it on YouTube, he couldn’t have guessed what was going to happen next.

Power of One: Updated information and actions on the current situation in Ngaba, where at least 300 monks have been arrested and two elderly Tibetans have been beaten to death, and on the case of imprisoned filmmaker Dhondup Wangchen.

Open Mind: Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, a Buddhist nun and author, talks about our our sense of self — what’s healthy, what’s not, and how to develop a sense of self that truly benefits us… and others, too.
