Tibetan Stanford stu­dent brings ‘crit­i­cal think­ing’ to TCV

A young Tibetan Stanford University stu­dent, Tenzin Seldon, was one of 14 stu­dents to receive an inter­na­tional schol­ar­ship to tackle issues of social inequal­ity. Seldon decided that crit­i­cal think­ing was some­thing that Tibetan chil­dren lacked in their for­mal edu­ca­tion. Coinciding with the 50th anniver­sary of the found­ing of Tibetan Children’s Village, she pio­neered a class at Tibetan Children’s Village in Dharamsala, India, that is mak­ing stu­dents think in whole new ways.
