Street artist Shepard Fairey, who began his career paint­ing on skate­boards, gained inter­na­tional recog­ni­tion with his famous “HOPE” Obama poster. Recently, he turned his brush on a new sub­ject — the Dalai Lama. Producer Christal Smith speaks with Fairey about the inspi­ra­tion behind his new poster, the lim­ited edi­tion of which sold out within min­utes of being launched.
