The International Campaign for Tibet recently came out with a book of banned essays and blog posts by Tibetans inside Tibet called The Gold that Fears no Fire. Rebecca Novick reads an excerpt from an essay by the Tibetan writer, Woeser, who describes her experience in August of 2008 visiting the famous Jokhang temple in Lhasa where that March, a group of monks had disrupted a staged media tour and cried out for human rights in front of international reporters.
