Venerable Thubten Chödron
In this installment of our Open Mind series, we get some practical advice on “Becoming Aware of Our Buttons,” meaning how to deal with things that usually irritate us and “push our buttons.” Venerable Thubten Chödron, an American Buddhist nun, emphasizes a practical approach to handling daily life, and her methods are based on Buddhist psychology. She’s also very direct. We apologize that the audio quality of this recording is spotty in some places.
Venerable Thubten Chödron is the author of more than a dozen books, including Buddhism for Beginners and Working with Anger. She is the abbess of Sravasti Abbey, Buddhist monastic community in Washington State.
