The Dalai Lama sent a letter of congratulations to president-elect Barack Obama, saying, “The American presidential elections are always a great source of encouragement to people throughout the world who believe in democracy, freedom and equal opportunities.” We wanted to know what ordinary Tibetans, particularly Tibetan youth, think about Barack Obama, and if they think his presidency will help the Tibetan cause. Tibet Youth Radio’s Lhakpa Kyizom reports from Dharamsala, India.
