David Crosby and The Tibet Connection’s Julie Adler
Singer, songwriter, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Grammy-honored ‘voice of a generation’ – Woodstock-era supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash, David Crosby has been making music and expressing the message of peaceful resistance for decades. Crosby is the author of the book, Stand and Be Counted: the Dramatic Story of the Artists and Causes that Changed America.
In October, 2007, on the eve before the Dalai Lama received the Congressional Gold Medal, prominent musicians such as he and spiritual leaders come together at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC, to participate in a Pray for Peace concert inspired by the Dalai Lama. On that very windy afternoon, producer Julie Adler sat down outside the cathedral to talk to him about his connection to Tibet. As part of our December 2008 Holiday special program, we re-air this segment in the spirit of hope, change and peace.
